Other Worlds

Looking up

At all those other worlds

Hurtling a billion miles an hour through space,

You can’t help wondering

If it’s some kind of race.

What’s their hurry?

Where are they trying to escape to?

Is there some place

They have to go?

Or are they just passing through?

That’s what I’d like to know.
