Do we remember?

Remembrance

 We remember those who died,

But not the reason why

They had to die.

We march to solemn music,

Lay our poppy wreaths,

Assume our doleful face.

But why did we send them

In the first place?

We packed them off to war:

Fathers,

Brothers,

Sons.

Do we know what for?

The sad truth is

No one remembers any more.
