The Mirror Man

There he is again

The man in the mirror

Stalking me,

Talking to me

As if we’d met before,

As if he knew me.

Reminds me now and then

Of a man I used to know.

Though he was better looking,

More refined,

Eyes sparkling,

Face unlined.

There he is again,

Haunting me,

Taunting me,

Pushing me too far.

Tomorrow I‘m going to ask him straight:

“Who the hell do you think you are?”
