Verse leads me

With no particular rhyme

Or reason,

Speeds me

In and out of time

And season,

Puts me in places

I never thought to be,

Shows me faces

I never thought to see.

Sometimes for better,

Sometimes for worse,

That’s what verse

Does for me.
